About
Sigrid Adriaenssens is Professor of Civil Engineering at Princeton University and Director of the Form Finding Lab. Her research centres on the structural morphology of lightweight structures — shells, gridshells, deployable systems, and active-bending structures — using form-finding algorithms, experimental physical models, and differential geometry as complementary lenses. She has received the IASS Tsuboi Award and the ASCE Charles Pankow Award for Innovation. She is a strong advocate for the role of structural intuition in computational design education, and regularly teaches at both Princeton and the Architectural Association.
