About
Pierre Alliez is Senior Research Scientist at INRIA and head of the Titane project team, which focuses on 3D reconstruction of real-world environments using computational geometry and learning methods. He is a principal contributor to the CGAL library (Computational Geometry Algorithms Library), the standard reference implementation for many computational geometry algorithms. His research bridges theoretical computational geometry and practical applications in urban reconstruction, building modelling, and cultural heritage preservation. He has received the EuroGraphics Outstanding Technical Contributions Award.
