Jean-Daniel Boissonnat is a Director of Research at Inria Sophia Antipolis and a distinguished figure in computational geometry and topology. Over his extensive career, he founded the pioneering Prisme and Geometrica research teams at Inria and was an invited professor at the Collège de France. A co-founder of the CGAL library and the investigator of the GUDHI project, his foundational research encompasses Delaunay triangulations, Voronoi diagrams, shape reconstruction, and topological data analysis.
