Wes McGee is a Professor at the University of Michigan's Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, where he directs the Fabrication and Robotics Lab (FABLab). He also holds affiliations in Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Robotics Institute. In addition to his academic roles, he is the Co-founder and Partner of Matter Design, an internationally recognized MIT-affiliated research and design studio. McGee's expertise lies squarely at the intersection of design, engineering, and robotics, pushing the boundaries of construction by integrating CNC techniques, industrial robotics, and novel additive manufacturing processes (like multi-axis robotic 3D-printing and non-manifold path planning) into architectural-scale workflows.
