Toni Kotnik is a Professor of Design of Structures at Aalto University's Department of Architecture. Holding dual degrees in architecture and a Ph.D. in mathematics, his research focuses on integrating scientific and engineering knowledge into architectural thinking. A strong proponent of integrative design methods, he employs computational science and digital design to investigate how mathematical and biological principles of organization can generate innovative and sustainable architectural forms.
