Shajay Bhooshan is a Senior Associate and the Head of the Computation and Design research group (ZHA CODE) at Zaha Hadid Architects, which he co-founded in 2007. His work bridges theoretical frameworks and practical architectural applications through digital fabrication, algorithmic design, and advanced manufacturing techniques. Bhooshan completed his PhD at the Block Research Group (ETH Zurich) focusing on non-planar 3D concrete printing and fabrication-aware architectural geometries. Under his leadership, ZHA CODE integrates computational geometry, video game and metaverse technology, and industrialized construction to advance the firm's globally recognized design language. He is also a studio-master at the Architectural Association's Design Research Laboratory (AADRL).
