About
Ron Fedkiw is a Full Professor in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University, affiliated with the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL) and the Computer Graphics Laboratory (GCL). He is a leading researcher in physically based simulation of natural phenomena and machine learning. His groundbreaking work on computational algorithms for fluid dynamics and soft-body dynamics has transformed visual effects in the film industry. He has received two Academy Awards for his contributions to visual effects, consulting extensively for Industrial Light & Magic and Epic Games.
