Oliver Tessmann is a Professor for Digital Design at the Technical University of Darmstadt (TU Darmstadt), where he heads the Digital Design Unit (DDU). His research explores how computation, crowdsourcing, digital fabrication, and robotics can generate forms and influence the design process towards more sustainable architectural practices. Previously, he led the performativeBuildingGroup at Bollinger + Grohmann and held an Assistant Professorship at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm.
