About
Nicolas Rogeau is an engineer, architect, and researcher specializing in sustainable construction methods, bio-based materials, and digital tools. He completed his PhD at the Laboratory for Timber Constructions (IBOIS) at EPFL within the NCCR Digital Fabrication framework, focusing on the robotic assembly of timber structures. He is the developer of 'Manis', a Grasshopper plugin that automates the design and robotic assembly of integrally-attached timber plate structures. Currently, he is a Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Fellow and a Visiting Researcher at the Architectural Informatics Laboratory at the University of Tokyo.
