About
Doug L. James is the LeRa Professor of Computer Science and a Professor, by courtesy, of Music at Stanford University. He is affiliated with the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) and the Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME). His research group focuses on computer graphics, physics-based sound synthesis, deformation processing, and numerical methods for reduced-order physics models. He has received a Technical Achievement Award from The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for 'Wavelet Turbulence' and consults for Nvidia and Pixar.
